When you're chasing a toddler! I haven't posted in a long, long time, but here are a few pictures of Homer the toddler:

New favorites include: meatballs (see photo no. 1), shoes, and slides. Dislikes include, but are not limited to: baby gates, broccoli, and shots.

He never stops moving! Here's a series of shots that I took trying to get a good closeup:

On the move:

Close, but no smile:

Uh, oh, he's going for the camera:

I give up!

The proof is in the laundry!

For all those doubters out there--I've posted a video of Homer walking. Something clicked this afternoon and he went from taking a few steps to actually walking. In this case, the goal was the laundry hamper. We'll take it!

On your mark, get set...

Hurdle! Homer's favorite new game is to jump over the dog/ottoman/pommel. Sometimes it's graceful, sometimes it's not, but we always find it amusing!

Also, I finally finished my latest sewing project--a bumper for Homer's crib. No more feet stuck in between the rungs for this guy!

I know, I know, you're all wondering what is going on with that wild Homer?? It's been a busy summer, including a visit to Grandma Joan in Laguna Beach, some hot sticky fun in Northampton with Grandma and Grandpa, and a birthday bash this past weekend! Homer is rapidly cruising, but refuses to walk without a hand to hold, much to Grandma's chagrin. He does put on a fascinating "story hour" every morning, when he tells us long and involved tales--sometimes funny, sometimes exciting, always with wild hand gestures!

Laguna Beach:

Back in Northampton:

And finally, the big day!

Summer fun...clothes optional!

What could be better on a hot, muggy day than a dish pan full of cool water...in the nude?

Look! Look, everybody! There's leaves in here! Yum!

When the diapers came back out, this nature baby tried making a run for it:

P.S. TJ, this is the kind of stuff that goes on when you're not home, in case you wondered...

Long time...

I know, I know, it's been a long time since I've posted. But to be fair, we've been busy! Here are some pictures of us (mainly Homer) over the past month.

Visiting Miles, Jodi, Georgia and Penelope and hanging out at the park:

Doing some blueberry picking on one of TJ's days off:

Homer is a standing/cruising maniac! And his favorite activity for this week is taking all the laundry out of the basket (after I had folded everything...):

Update!

Well, the last time I posted, TJ was in med school, we were living in Dublin, and we were just about to head off to Portugal for a week in the sun. And now...TJ is a doctor and we live in Northampton, Mass. Oh, and Portugal was great--highly recommended to anyone living in/headed to Europe. Needless to say, it's been a big month!

Homer has been great with the move, and is loving our new neighborhood. We live across the street from the Northampton community gardens, and some great running trails with a few nice little swimming holes. I've posted some pictures of our house and Homer enjoying his new corner of the world.

Our house on Burt's Pit Road:

Homer's new swimming hole:

Hanging out in the community garden:

Homer in his new-to-us car--thanks, Tim and Cathy! Cathy, aka Nina, was a huge help moving in--lots of Target runs, etc.!

I hope you all appreciate this, because I had to bounce up and down like an chump until I was about to collapse to get these laughs. In the end, I think I lost about 15 pounds of sweat, but it was totally worth it: pics.livejournal.com/klepore/pic/0005fpqy

Mother's Day party

Homer had a few friends over for a little Mother's Day party, complete with a cake from the Queen of Tarts...yum... Here he is hanging out with his buddies Emily and Thomas:

Umm, in the second picture I'm pretty sure he's pooping. No manners whatsoever.

And a few more family pictures on a rare sunny day!
